The 1% and the 99%

It would be nice to believe that the 1% have become so irrelevant that all we, the 99% have to do is give them a one way ticket to one of their tax havens and all would be well. The issue, as ever that we face is, whether the 99% will consciously choose and organise an alternative future. Our culture is so used to opposition and protest, that running things for ourselves and taking responsibility for the government of the country from neighbourhood to national ministries is going to be a new and profound challenge. But it is precisely the one we have to take. It is a democratic choice of rule by the majority.
