Gove needs to do his homework

A 17 year old student with 14 GCSEs at A* from a Manchester comprehensive school and an interest in journalism and politics fully supported Gove’s criticism of the dominance of privately educated men in public life. She had been turned down for work experience by The Guardian, the House of Commons and the Manchester Evening News. She invited Mr Gove to prove his commitment to opportunities for state educated children by offering her work experience in his office. To date it is not known if she has received a favourable response.
